We are seeking a skilled and innovative Principal Engineer to contribute to the creation, refinement, and optimization of advanced electro-mechanical systems. This role will involve generating detailed mechanical designs, overseeing production challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve electro-mechanical designs, including components, assemblies, and complete systems.
- Generate detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs) using advanced CAD tools.
- Collaborate with software, manufacturing, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Drive initiatives focused on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and quality improvement.
- Utilize structured methodologies to troubleshoot and resolve design and production challenges.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of manufacturing workflows.
- Propose and implement design modifications in response to production feedback.
- Provide guidance and technical support to resolve engineering issues across departments.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and engineering techniques.
- Participate in ongoing initiatives aimed at improving product performance and reducing costs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; experience in Mechatronics is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, including proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Proven ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative team settings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and structured troubleshooting approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; additional proficiency in Romanian or German is advantageous.
